The Santa Fe Springs Swap Meet is home to one of the largest weekly events in Santa Fe Springs. Formerly known as the La Mirada Drive-In Theater,
the Swap Meet is a venue for discount trading, food and drinks, and live music. As the events go on, however, the venue uses a huge electrical load
and can take a toll on the electrical equipment and usage made available for the events. The Swap Meet installed almost 40 of Carson Technology’s 200W
LED Shoebox to replace the 400W HID Parking lot lights.
The Swap Meet has also installed customized 600W LED fixtures to replace their 1000W HID fixtures
and receive more light output than ever before. The load reduction for the Swap Meet has been cut by 50% and the energy saved can now be directed towards
other functions and equipment to their weekly events and shows.
